Signings & Other Links

- The Penguins traded their seventh round pick in the upcoming draft to the Washington Capitals for Tomas Vokoun. And then promptly signed him to a two-year deal.

- Apparently, Alex Radulov is not in the Preds plans for the future so they're starting to shop him. The New York Rangers are interested...oh, really?

- The Leafs re-signed their Marlies coach, Dallas Eakins, to a three-year contract extension.

- The Avalanche re-signed Cody McLeod to a three-year deal worth $3.5 million.

- The Montreal Canadiens hired Michel Therrien as their new head coach.

- The Florida Panthers re-signed Dale Tallon to a multi-year contract extension.

- Dominic Moore, forward with the San Jose Sharks, released a statement about why he missed the last two games for the Sharks first round in the Stanley Cup playoffs against the St. Louis Blues.

- Vladimir Krutov, one of the greatest Soviet Union players ever, died in Russia on Wednesday. He was the 'K' in the infamous 'KLM' line.

- In more bad news, a Red Wings former draft pick, Bryan Rufenach, died while traveling in Switzerland.

- The Los Angeles Kings donated $50,000 as a reward to find the killer of a 14-month-old, Angel Cortez, who was shot and killed outside his house in Los Angeles.
