The song is called 'Shooting' and as you would expect, the entire album is about hockey. Not kidding.
NHLhistorygirl on Twitter tweeted this and a link to the video:

and that is how Esbee (and later us) found out about the disco album of Lafleur.
Included in the album was also an instructional booklet in both French and English about how to play better hockey.

We are now going to be on the lookout for this album in the future and when we find it, expect a post about it.
Of course we did a little research on this topic and found a website, Disco Delivery, that has a relatively new review on the album plus links to download the songs. Awesome.
Then we found this post on Blades of Funny that has some epic photoshopping of album covers of rare underground music featuring NHL players.
This really is a rabbit-hole that could definitely be a gold mine...

Glad you liked it! That Blades of Funny cover with Marty is killing me.
1) I told you guys about this record eons ago, but it's fine because I don't expect or necessarily want anybody to listen to me. :)
2) I have 4 friends who own said vinyl. FOUR friends. Get your checkbooks out and if you have any 8-tracks in storage, now might be a good time to whip those puppies out for bartering!!!
Bienvenue, mes amies!!! Oh, et "Go Kings" tabarnacle.
