NHL Trophy Finalists: Hart and Lindsay

We're going to do two awards a day and analyze who we think should win and then say who we think will win. Because there's always a difference and nobody leaves happy except the player who won.

These awards are similar enough that we will do them together.

-&-

Hart Memorial Trophy
this award is given to the player who was the most valuable to his team

Finalists: Evgeni Malkin, Henrik Lundqvist and Steven Stamkos

Ted Lindsay Award
this award is given to the NHL's most outstanding player

Finalists: Evgeni Malkin, Henrik Lundqvist and Steven Stamkos

Evgeni Malkin

- led the league in points at 109

Henrik Lundqvist

- 8 shutouts and 39 wins, career bests in GAA and save percentage

Steven Stamkos

- had 60 goals, 97 points

Who we would pick: Henrik Lundqvist
We think he had the most impact on his team which is what the Hart is all about. Without Lundqvist, the Rangers wouldn't have been anything. Literally.

Who is probably going to win: Steven Stamkos
Because.

(We apologize because it's too hot to actually sit at a computer and write...literally.)
