NHL Entry Draft Combine

- Bob Hartley is the new coach of the Calgary Flames.
- The Norfolk Admirals won Game One of the Calder Cup Finals against the Toronto Marlies by a score of 3-1.
- Gary Bettman is hoping that talks with the NHLPA will start soon so that stuff can get done and we can stop worrying about another lockout.
- It is being reported that Tim Thomas is considering taking a time off from hockey to spend more time with his family.
- Marian Gaborik will be undergoing surgery to repair a tear in his shoulder and could be out for up to six months.
Signings:
- Canadiens signed Nathan Beaulieu to an entry-level contract. He was their first round pick in 2011.
- The Bruins signed Daniel Paille to a three-year, 3.9 million dollar deal and Chris Bourque to a two-year deal totaling at 1.1 million dollars.
- Hurricanes signed forward Brody Sutter to an entry-level contract. And how many Sutters now play for the Hurricanes? We think they're hoarding them.
- The Blackhawks were busy, signing four draft picks to entry-level deals.

I'm very happy that the Bs re-signed Paille, but I'm still worried about Kelly & Campbell. Then there is Timmy...I don't even know what to say about that mess. I love & adore him and will always admire his independent spirit, but taking a year off??? Really??? And leaving the Bs with a $5mil cap hit? Timmy, Timmy, Timmy...I may need intense therapy to deal with this.
