- Drew Doughty is awesome and he's done it all...brat should just retire already, right?

- Ian Laperriere has officially announced his retirement.

- The Oilers have signed Oscar Klefbom to an entry-level contract.

- Canadiens have named a trio of guys to their front office in Martin Lapointe as the new director of player development, Patrice Brisebois as the new player development coach and Sylvain Lefebvre as the new head coach of the AHL affiliate in Hamilton.

- NHL.com has their opinion on how the Oilers should/will handle their first round pick this week.

- Jim Slater re-signed with the Jets with a contract for three years worth 4.8 million.

- The Canucks have filed for 'cutdown' arbitration on Mason Raymond's contract.

- Apparently, Ilya Kovalchuk had a back injury and was playing hurt throughout the Finals against the Kings.

- Chris Stewart re-signed with the Blues, a one-year contract worth three million dollars.

- The Calgary Flames have hired Martin Gelinas as an assistant coach for the team.

- The Jets re-signed their assistant coaches and then added Perry Pearn to the staff as well.

- Gerard Gallant has been hired by the Canadiens as an assistant coach.

- The Lightning traded two 2012 second-round picks, a 2013 third-round pick and Sebastian Caron to the Predators for Anders Lindback, forward Kyle Wilson and 2012 seventh-round pick.

- Then the Lightning re-signed Adam Hall and TJ Wyman to contract extensions. Hall is for one-year, one-way deal and Wyman was signed to a one-yer, two-way contract.

- The Canucks re-signed Aaron Volpatti to a one-year contract.
