2012 Playoffs: Quarterfinals Day Thirteen

#1 New York Rangers / #8 Ottawa Senators
Series tied 3-3 after a 3-2 Rangers win

Chris Kreider scored the game-winner for the Rangers. It was his first NHL goal and his first playoff goal of his career. Pretty awesome game for the kid.

You know what else came to play in this game? The Rangers power play. Brad Richards and Derek Stepan scored for the power play.

#3 Phoenix Coyotes / #6 Chicago Blackhawks
Coyotes win series 4-1 after a 4-0 win in Chicago

Mike Smith was the story of this game with the shutout and thirty-three saves. He stole the game for the Coyotes and was the real difference-maker in the series.

It's pretty neat that the Coyotes and captain Shane Doan get to dance in the second round for the first time. Good for the team, the fans and the organization.
