Awards Monday: Week Twenty-Five

Hottie of the Week

Evgeni Malkin

There are so many reason why he's the HotW but it's mostly because of his scoring tear that has him ten points ahead of the next guy. And he's only three points from 100. Can't wait 'til that happens.

Best Commercial of the Night

Dollar Shave Club

Definitely one of the funniest commercials we've seen in a while.

The Ryan Malone Wheaties Award

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins

The rookie race is getting a little crazy right now. We don't remember it being this close between three players but even with an injury and twenty-one less games played than Landeskog, he is sitting atop the others for scoring. He's had a good couple of games and deserves the Wheaties award this week.

Geez, and I thought nothing, nothing could compete with the new Bruins Bear commercial. I was wrong...

I think the Calder should be shared this year between Skog and the Nuge. They have both had outstanding seasons and played their hairy little balls off on spotty/craptacular teams. It's always an adventure to see the rookies make their way through their first year. The ones that thrive are so much fun to behold.

That commercial is awesome! If more ads were like that I'd change the channel less.
If Geno doesn't win the Hart Trophy I think the NHL writers need to be tracked down and made to walk on skate blades.
