- As you know, Mike Cammalleri was traded to the Calgary Flames with a prospect and draft pick for Rene Bourque and a prospect and a draft pick.
- Canadiens captain Brian Gionta had surgery on his biceps and could be out for the rest of the season. Not good news.
- An article appeared on TribLive about the Penguins and the team's desire to get a new captain and how they are not all behind him during the concussion. Well, that day the boys all came out on the ice wearing 'C's made out of stick tape on their jerseys. That's our boys.
- Biggest news was Sidney Crosby finally skating for the first time in more than a month. Yay.
- Another concussion has brought someone down, this time on the Flyers. James van Riemsdyk is out indefinitely with one. Not good news.
- Rick DiPietro will be having sports hernia surgery and he could be done for the season. What else is new?
- There are rumors of a Flyers/Leafs trade involving James van Riemsdyk and Luke Schenn. Whaaaaaaaat?
- Daniel Carcillo of the Chicago Blackhawks will be having season-ending knee surgery and just another addition to the injury list.
- Jeff Skinner made his return tonight from a concussion after more than a month on the sidelines. Yay!
- David Booth also made his return to the Canucks lineup tonight. Good for you, David Booth.
- Jamie Benn will be out for at least ten days after having an emergency appendectomy. Schniekes!

Not only is my sweet boy out for 2-3 weeks but Mike Ribeiro is also out of the line up for an extended period with a slight tear in his MCL. That's the Stars top two centers! WE ARE FUCKED!! Did I mention we have back to back games against STL & DET this week. FUCKED!!!
Oh, Jamie Benn will probably miss the All Star game because of this. Going to cry now :'(

@Shanny: I admit I have been a closeted Bennenite for quite a while, now. It's the ex-Rockets thing and those big brown eyeballs. But I digress... I must also admit I believe in karma and... Well... Methinks that right now, the stars are - sorry - admonishing the Stars for deigning to take out my Sheanene for two weeks. Tsk Tsk Tsk. Perhaps a trade will be occur between now and the end of February to keep them in the hunt. We shall see.

I wish somebody would do a scientific research project on why some players seem to be permanently injured or are more prone to getting hurt than others. It's hard to see but it's also fascinating. It can't be all about bad luck, right?

I have good news to report from Stars Nation...bb Czech & Lego are back at practice. YAYS! And..bb Czech is a center. DOUBLE YAYS! And...Jamie Benn is back home doing very well & he still might be able to play in the All Star game. ALL THE YAYS EVER!!
I really do hope everyone that's broken gets better soon.
