The Rangers Finally Do Something Fun

Was that dramatic enough? We thought so.

We've been hearing about these specials on MSG about the Rangers players and how they started with hockey and then their parents talk about them. And we had to see this show.

Of course we found it on YouTube.

Here is a promo for the show.

It's called, 'Beginnings' and we think it's a fanfreakintastic idea for a series. We really do.

Here is the full episode on Ryan Callahan that is awesome.

And here is a sneak peek at the Derek Stepan one.

We are going to keep looking for other episodes and will post them as soon as we find it. Hope you like these as much as we did.

Hey can Tampa Bay get in on this too? Or any other team? And in addition can they start filming THESE?
*************
Tampa Bay on Sunday before its game with the Panthers had a meeting at its hotel before it went to the rink as opposed to at the rink, which it has done this season. That way, players could not nap as late and could avoid what Boucher called “coma mode.”

“We wake up the mind before we get to the rink, so we don’t wake up in the middle of the second period,” he said.

There will be fewer morning skates and more body activations such as Sunday’s shirts-and-skins football game.

I watched the Derek Stepan episode last night on MSG. It's a great way to introduce players to the public in a more substantive fashion without necessarily "following them on their day" type of crap. I can see veterans not digging it, but newbies/rookies being way into it and benefiting from the exposure.

@Jennifer: "We wake up the mind before we get to the rink..." Yet more proof that Boucher is a frighteningly seasoned mind-control practitioner, people!!! "Coma mode" might not flick his Bic but that's okay 'cause he much prefers ZOMBIE MODE. FEMBOT MODE. LASER SHARK MODE. Whatever you wanna call it.

Send in the clowns. He's CRAY-ZAY.

Guy Boucher was always my favorite Bond villain.

Cally's family & wife are so adorable. Plus, he's wearing the shit out of that shirt.
