Blackhawks Commercials and Other Things

Jennifer sent these to us and we can't stop watching them over and over. They're oddly sexy yet intense and scary.

Here's the first one with Corey Crawford and Dave Bolland.

Then we have the Duncan Keith one which is really, really intense.

And then Jonathan Toews

- the NHL Winter Classic Alumni Game will feature some Hockey Hall of Fame members which is awesome!

- John Tavares was fined $2,500 for a slash on Zach Parise when the Islanders played the Devils.

- Andre Deveaux was suspended for three games after an illegal check to Tomas Fleischman's head when the Rangers played the Panthers.

- The Flames picked up Blake Comeau off the waiver wire from the Islanders.

- There's been a lot of hoopla surrounding a scrum in Friday night's game between the Senators and the Penguins involving Nick Foligno and Sidney Crosby. Foligno had some words about Crosby elbowing him in the scrum then both Dan Bylsma and Crosby responded.

- Taylor Hall is injured. We repeat: Taylor Hall is injured.

- The Stars are having a terrible time with injuries lately. Last night, Kari Lehtonen was injured along with Vernon Fiddler and Trevor Daley. What the hell?

- And in case you hadn't heard, Kris Letang was hit by Max Pacioretty in last night's game between the Penguins and Canadiens and broke his nose. Then he returned to the game and scored the controversial game-winner.

- The Kings went to the Breaking Dawn: Part 1 premiere and loved it.

Funny, cuz I had read that the Kings/Ducks amalgam left 20 minutes into the movie cuz it was so bad. And could someone explain the logic behind taking Richie--who we can guess had a bit of a problem with the extracurricular side of being a hockey player--and plunking him in the middle of Hollywood?

Those poor damn sad bastard Stars.

toews could atleast smile every once in a while. he doesn't like being "captain serious" all the time but c'mon what do you expect when this is all anyone sees

I can't admit how many times I have watched that Duncan Keith video since it came out because he might take out a restraining order on me.

Richie looked pretty comfy on that red carpet.

If he has such "superhuman lungs" then why is his breath so bad?

I keed. I keed. ;) Duncs will always be a favorite guilty pleasure of mine. Even if his commercials are lame, cheesy and over-the-top.

OMFG did somebody say "Rangers/Flyers Alumni Game"?! Wowie wow wow. What a MOTLEY CREW of MOTLEYS, MAN.

Can hardly wait for the "special HJ preview" of said alumni game -- heh heh heh... Booohahahhahhahaha.

The Stars will bounce back. They must! This is just a blip and nothing more.

And the Islanders need to fire their GM and their coach and stop blaming players and their farcical arena for the fact they suck. Are you kidding me? They've got a lot of talent to spare but there's clearly a problem on the coaching end. The frustration is building. I don't much care for this team right now (did back in the Bossy days) but jeebus. I hate when players are blamed for poor management/coaching decisions. Talking to you too, Flames!

On the opposite end of the rectal thermometer, I see a lot of shameful similarities between the Tools and the Quackies. I fear Carlyle will be the fall guy for the fact that his starfucker players don't give a flying crap about winning or even trying anymore. Boudreau was far from perfect but he was - and is - an excellent coach. Unlike McPhee and Leonsis, who clearly enjoy those champagne bubble baths with O-Felch way too much. Fair thee well, Fester. Fair thee well!

I'd like to start a petition to get more of those Duncan Keith videos done with more players. I want to see the intensity of them all!

@Cat--the Hawks are really good with filming a lot of the behind the scenes stuff...check out the Blackhawks TV stuff on their NHL site.

My absolute favorite thing is how Bolly opens the garage door in that first commercial the only way he can...like a badass mofo.
