What NHL Players Really Think...

Can we just say that we love this video? Well, we do...a lot. And it's nice to see them so candid for once.

- New Jersey Devils signed Petr Sykora to a one-year deal. Cue the screeching from Henrik.

- Phoenix Coyotes signed Paul Bissonnette to a two-year contract extension.

- Former Sabre Rick Martin is the first non-fighter hockey player diagnosed with CTE.

- Sean Avery cleared waivers and was sent to the AHL. LOL. Guess the 'fat little piggy' comment was too far for the Rangers.

- Ryan Kesler takes in stride the chirps about posing nude in ESPN.

- TSN has an article on how Brendan Shanahan is settling into his new role as league disciplinarian. This makes us happy.

- Pierre-Marc Bouchard was suspended for two games for his high-stick to the face of Matt Calvert.

- Mike Cammalleri will be out for a while with a LBI or an apparent laceration on his leg.

- Mattias Ohlund will be out for quite a bit after having surgery on both of his knees. Yeeesh.

- St. Louis Blues claimed Taylor Chorney off of waivers; Predators claimed Brian Mcgrattan.

- Rich Peverley signed a three-year extension with the Bruins today.

Is Stephen Stamkos purposely trying to channel any given balding, hair-plugged, jowly ex-hash dealer/soundguy from Faster Pussycat?! Ol M. G. Awful everything much? In need of an extreme - EXTREME! - makeover much?

Re Kesler taking it all off: I'm sorry, but I'm saying it... I guess I need to have yet another lobotomy because I DID NOT find ANY of the featured athletes in the ESPN Body issue remotely attractive. Remotely!!! To me, they were all a bunch of terminal butterfaces. Take it up with Howard Stern. Male. Female. Didn't matter. DEAD/FUG from the neck up. For yours truly, that is a huge deal-breaker. Shoot me. Hate me. But I'm being honest. A nice body is nice. As Frank Burns (M*A*S*H) used to say, "It's nice to be nice to the nice." (one of my mottos, just FYI! - he's a hero to despicable persons like myself) But without some North-Of-Neck-Sugar©... Save your rubbers for another day, girls. It just ain't worth the trubble.

I like Shanahan and his hot rod. Cameras love him and as I have said before, it's not necessary to agree with his decisions 100% of the time: You just have to give it up for his commitment to transparency. As a proudly inherent shallow person to begin with, I can tell you I have ex-special appreciation for this new credo. The man is a beast, with beast hair. Hell Yeahs all around.

PS: Sean Avery can suck it. I don't condemn who he has been for the past x-number of years but I hate the fact that he reduces everything into a snide soundbyte about his boring, cliched, tinted sunglassed-self.

Avery being sent down means his salary is taken off the books & that is not a good thing. The Stars are still paying this guy & with his $1.9 mil cap hit gone they will fall under the cap floor. As of right now they are OK because Pardy is on the DL & Lego's cap hit is enough to keep them above the floor. All reports say Pardy will come off the DL soon & probably even play on Thursday. When this happens, someone will have to be sent down to Austin. Right now it looks like Lego (or maybe Tomas Vincour) will be the odd man out. Either way when this happens the Stars will find themselves under the cap floor. Now it seems they are going to have to do something to add to the cap hit for the team. Calling up another player to the big boy team, won't exactly work because the roster is full & most of the baby Stars salaries aren't enough. The only two options they seem to have now are to sign a rental free agent from a weak pool or try & trade for some salary. I'd personally prefer option one because everyone knows the situation & I'm afraid some teams may try & take advantage. This is a position that this team most defiantly don't need to be in right now. UGH! I feel like the Stars have 99 problems & a bitch named Avery is one.

Has Stamkos been watching Miami Vice re-runs down there in Tampa or something? That hair is channeling Don Johnson circa 1985. Thumbs up to the video including O Captain my Captain, Zachy-poo, & giving props to the Otter (who was the answer to 49 across on Monday's Yahoo crossword puzzle. Respect!). Oh, hei Erik Johnson, when did you grow up into a man?

I like the moles on Kesler's upper thigh ass area. Is that weird?

And...original Shanny rocks my socks. Always has & always will.

@Shanny: I know Avery is like the bitch that just won't stop spreading his STD even after he's long gone!!! RIdiculous that he still impacts the Stars after all this time. :( It's not fair. But maybe the "stars" will align themselves, the Stars will load up on some penicillin and things will work out for the better. Burn that sage and cross your fingers.

As for the SkunkApe's moles, I think they are in fact scars from his hip surgery earlier this summer. I don't mind the blemishes on his body. It's that big fat fugly blemish on top of his neck that's the problem for yours truly.

@MouthGuard - 100% agree with the Stamkos assessment re: appearance -eeeeewwwww!

I gotta tell ya' Ovi, he cracks me up...at least he's honest, to a fault! Loved the video!

This just in...the Stars have acquired Eric Nystrom from the Wild for future considerations. They've also assigned Tomas Vincour to Austin.

Cap problem solved! I hope.

Does anyone here have the dish on Nystrom? What does he bring to the team? Strengths? Weaknesses? Favorite color?

@mouthguard I am just dying that you quoted Frank Burns.

p.s. Frank Burns eats worms.

Okay finally watched that vid--where's it from? It's fantastic and I want more. Especially more of Marty in a suit. It's funny how a suit can make anyone--even Dion--more attractive. But Marty...he's a doll no matter what.

STEVIE STAMKOS SCARES ME. The Pussycat roadie comparison is so spot-on, MG, that it makes me wonder if you and I have crossed paths before. But that's another discussion for another day.

I wanted to be impressed by Keslnude. But instead I just find myself staring at those moles. Some things you just can't UNsee, like the beginning of 'Paradise Lost' or those fucking moles. It's all I'll be thinking about whenever he gets back on the ice. Creepers.

And with all the beauties in the league, why did they pick HIM?

@Esbee: What's shakin', Ferret Face? ;)

@Jennifer: "... it makes me wonder if you and I have crossed paths before." Did you see them "open" for Pigface? Did Taime prowl the venue beforehand and ask YOU for the "time" as well?

"And with all the beauties in the league, why did they pick HIM?" Apparently a conga line of beauties were asked and even the ones with peabrains were evolved enough to say no. I know I suck, but it's fact: He's a SkunkApe. A very egotistical, narcissistic, short-sighted SkunkApe. However, I wish him a full and uneventful recovery and look forward to seeing him back with the Canucks after they have sent LeBoingBoing to Fat Camp first, and then down to the minors after that because he's like the worst goalie ever in the history of goalies. I don't even like Vancouver and I can't help but feel a cramp or two of bad for Canucks fans right now.

If Lulu gets sent down--YOU MUST COME VISIT. Because you know of course their farm team is the Wolves. And the games will be PACKED with Hawks fans. And he will cry.
