Why? Because he thinks that Shanahan is taking hitting out of the game when in actuality he's trying to teach the league how to hit the right way. Which is what we want, duh.

So I'm already wondering after just watching the Caps/Tampa Bay game, which column will Vokoun fall into? Hero for the Shoot out? Or FAIL for letting it get to that point?

Congrats to the Nuge on his first NHL goal! Sure it's all happy times in Oil country now but, just wait til he starts pulling in more tail than Taylor Hall. Then shits gonna get real in a hurry.
Fail Award should go to Hockey Night in Canada for employing both Cherry & Jim Hughson. I'm shaking my damn head at those two fools.

Shanny picture 12 thumbs up (I borrowed some hands because 2 thumbs were NOT ENOUGH). I love the rulings. And saying they are going to make the game less physical (Like that JACKASS Milbury does)...really? Just because you can't decapitate someone or give them an intentional compression fracture of the spine doesn't make it a non-physical game. I kind of consider them the "Just don't play like an asshole" rules.

I have had a love/hate, Puddy/Elaine type of nemesis/bacon mate, Boyleboy/MG relationship with Cherry since -- well, since forever. That's all you need to know about the timeline.
It's no secret that Grapes has blurted out a ton of despicable, politically incorrect crap over the years to get us all to pay him some attention. I pinch myself today and admit that he might have gone much too far with the "Puke" diatribe last week. If that's even possible.
I don't want to call him a senile old coot. Even if that's what he is!!! ;) But I will be the first in line to say that he needs to pay PROPERLY for what he said and if that means he needs to be booted from HNIC ------ SO BE IT. Boot him. His point-of-view (again, can you even call it that?) on this crucial, life-or-death topic is shamefully outdated and frankly ignorant. HNIC owes its viewership much better than this. The day has come. I'm sad about it, but I really think it has to happen. Some people need to be pushed out before they realize they have made a mistake and need to rearrange their heads. Simple as that. He was afforded an opportunity to apologize/try to make things remotely right and he BLEW IT.
It makes me sick that he missed his chance. What a golden opportunity to tell the kiddies how to do play/hit right, eh? But if it takes the threat of a lawsuit - because right now it's just a threat - to get him to step down... Again, so be it.
