We like/dislike both teams equally. It would be cool to see either team win. Both deserve the Cup and they better give us seven amazingly good games so that the season ends with a bang instead of a whimper.
Of course many other people do care who wins but we'd be happy either way since the Cup is going somewhere and both seem like the only options.
Tomorrow is Game One and we decided to do a Top Ten of sorts of why this Finals will be fun even if we have no real team in the Finals.
Top Ten: SC Finals Edition
10. Tim Thomas vs Roberto Luongo
09. the very underrated Patrice Bergeron raising the Stanley Cup

08. The Three Musketeers: Burrows, Kesler & Bieksa

07. Kevin Bieksa being even more of a badass
06. Brad Marchand vs Raffi Torres
05. a European captain raising the Cup

04. a drought will be over
03. Cam Neely being thisclose to the Cup

02. Conn Smythe being handed out
01. the potential for overtime in Game Seven with a goal by the player you love

If you don't (or do) have a favorite team in the Finals, let us know why you'll be watching the Finals this season.

I'm not really watching for any specific reason other than they're the finals, but I am crazy excited to see one of my favorite ex-Buckeyes (Ryan Kesler) get a chance to play for the Stanley Cup!
Re 10: You meant to say, Timmy T v. Count Chocula, right? Really, not a fair match-up at all. You've got the Vezina winner for sure on one end (Timmy, okay?) versus Forrest Gump on the other. A farce!
Re 9: Ouais ouais et OUAIS mes amis! Bring it on! Ancienne Lorette is in the house. Know what else lives in/is from Ancienne Lorette? Le Colisée. A good omen, this would be.
Re 8: Typo, right? Shirley, you meant The Three Stooges, yes? And yes I just called you Shirley, Shirley.
Re 7: Okay OKAY. He can be a badass. Whatever.
Re 6: They're both spectacularly repulsive, polarizing players. So why not?
Re 5: I choked on my breakfast laughing so hard when I saw this side-by-side. It literally looks like something from Reno 911 or an PSA still on behalf of an organization that helps people who are part amphibian.
Re 4: I like being thirsty, though. Means it's time for cocktails.
Re 3: My number one reason for wanting Boston to take this. It's time for Cammy to win the Cup. Do it for the boss. Maybe NBC/Versus will buy themselves a clue and appoint a special "Cam-Cam" for the series so we can look at something delicious for the next two weeks. 'Cause these players don't exactly qualify as eye candy, except for maybe Hamhuis and my Yesirree Bob Seguin. I don't want to speak for you trollops out there, but I'm pret-ty sure oh yes that you're not exactly lubing up your Jelly Bullets and your Toyfriend Clitorals thinking about Mark Recchi and his patchouli'd scalp. Am I right or am I right? I mean, c'mon.
Re 2: Conn can SUCK IT. Me and Conn are OFF right now, man. Have been for a WHILE. I'm sick of Conn being all trendy and hooking up with the most hyped, popular 'ho of the moment. Conn shoulda went home with Danny Briere last year, but instead he went with the safe date, Jonathan Toews. So Conn can eat me. We all know the Skunkape's got it locked, anyway. Hey Conn: Enjoy trying on lots of fugly underwear!
Re 1: I would love for Yesirree Bob to score a humpty goal in OT during Game 7. Would be hilarious. Either him, or Recchi. Even better!
Last but no least, I don't have a favorite team in the Finals. It's down to which team I detest least and which team has a redeeming x-factor (hello, Cam Neely) that keeps me from wanting to run to the bathroom every five minutes. Can hardly wait for next season, people. Seriously.
I'm a HUGE Canucks fan and I'm really excited to see them in the finals. Tim Thomas and Roberto Luongo are both very good goalies and Thomas is going to be tough to beat!! Chara is huge and he scares the crap outta me (that face! that hair!) but Boston does have some obvious weaknesses. (Powerplay!!)
Go Canucks!!
