This year we figured that we would just mention a few things that we're thankful for in this season so far.
We are thankful for:
1. Carey Price took lessons on how to be a proper lady and now keeps his five-hole closed.
2. As Penguins fans we really don't have to worry about the Devils or the Islanders or the Rangers in our division.
3. Children like this
4. Ryan Callahan
5. Steve(n) Stamkos's moustache which is worse than Sidney Crosby's
6. the new All Star Game format to keep us interested
7. third jerseys
8. this picture
9. awkwardly wonderful commercials starring JToews and PKane
10. going to the Winter Classic at Heinz Field with Macke...going to be the best day ever
11. every reader, commenter and other blogger out there that does an even better job than us at this...we love you!

I'm thankful i'm not a devils fan.
I'm thankful to have found a bunch of broads as obssessed/interested/addicted to the icy redheaded stepchild of the sporting world, La Belle Hockey. I'm also thankful that my team finally gave me something that--let's be honest--as a Chicago fan thought would never happen in my (or any other) lifetime...the Grand Prize I've dreamt of since I was a wee girl of 11. It's almost enough to deal with the melancholy of seeing them now, sort of that three legged dog you still can't help loving as it spins around in circles.
I'm also thankful that I'm done with work at my Swedish Retail Giant at 1pm tomorrow (even tho' that means going into work at 4am) so I can make it home for the absurdly early Hawks/Ducks game.
To take Molly's tack, I'm thankful I'm not an Islanders season ticket holder too.
Reasons I'm thankful:
** For people who like to laugh.
** For JetPuffs.
** For taking typing with Madame Frechette in high school instead of European history.
** Ay-yoie tu me fait mal a mon coeur d'animal.
** For the Minnesota North Stars.
** For bowtie pasta.
** For the fact that I already celebrated Thanksgiving last month.
