It's amazing how just a few months will make you forget about a team you never really get to see.
Doing this preview made us remember how much we missed watching the Oilers play and especially Ales Hemsky.
This summer, after a disappointing (extremely disappointing, actually) season, the Oilers had the first pick in the 2010 Entry Draft.
And they picked smartly, taking Taylor "I'm going to do it all myself" Hall. We can see him being the franchise savior that the Oilers need. Throw it all on his shoulders, kids.
He's used to it.
If Taylor needs any advice, we suggest calling up either John Tavares or Sidney Crosby. We would add in Patrick Kane and/or Jonathan Toews but they're balls deep with Stanley Cup celebrations.
This season we are excited to see Jordan Eberle score some big time goals and Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson be Swedishly amazing and Taylor Hall grow into his face.
The Oilers are definitely one of our top five favorite teams so to see them fail so miserably was hard on us and on Macke. So for all of us and our sanity, we hope that the Oilers have a better season this year.

We cheated. We peeked at what Macke picked last season and just used that number. It made sense to us. We've always liked the Oielrs and a lot of their players are adorable.
And now with the newcomers, they're hotness factor went up in our eyes.

I am so excited to see Edmonton above a 5 in the hotness factor, and I have some reasonable expectations for them this season. I must also say I am a fan of Ryan Whitney...
I love the Oilers! I take a lot of crap for it but whatever. I can't wait to see them next year with all this up and coming young talent, I'm really looking forward to it (although at this point I really just want some hockey, when will this extremely boring offseason be over?).
Okay so Val, I thought I was the only person in the world who loved Ryan Whitney. There's no shame in it at all, haha.
And EHisCDN, the Oilers better be better this season or I am going to personally hunt them down and pull a Herb Brooks and whip them into shape.
