Summer Vacation

In light of the off-season, we are going to take a little mental vacation from blogging every day.

This week, we will not post a single thing. Don't despair, we're preparing for the offseason with this time off. Kind of...

Unless something HUGE happens then we will post. We already know about Dion Phaneuf supposedly being named captain of the Maple Leafs because Noodles is Brian Burke.

Oops, you weren't supposed to read that.

So, we don't know if we told you but we are discontinuing Date Night Friday.

But don't worry, we were worried that we would be disappointments as bloggers if we did that so we created two brand spanking new features to take it's place.

The first feature is on every Wednesday and it's called Mancrush Of The Week.

In each installment we will feature a player that we love purely for his playing ability. And each one of us will pick a player a week, switching back and forth.

As the series continues, we will probably take suggestions from readers as long as you guys write it up in the style that we used. But that's later, can't get ahead of ourselves here.

The next feature is called Double Date. That will take place every Friday.

It will go through the offseason and maybe into the 2010-2011 season if the feature is received with open arms by you readers.

What will happen is we will pick two players that have something in common and in the DNF fashion, create a scenario for a date and you have to choose between the two.

The commonalities can be same team, same Junior team, friends, rookies. Pretty much anything we deem that they have in common.

And if you miss DNF that much, even with these new features to quench your desire for it, Gaby over at Date Night In Canada has taken up the feature and given it her own spin.

Check out the site.

On Sundays, we are starting a new feature called Bad NHL Boys Club.

It's kind of like the Bad Girls Club except with NHL players instead of "bad" girls.

Each "episode" will follow the players we put into this house with other divalicious bad NHLers and the kind of situations they put themselves into.

Trust us, you'll love it. It's going to be ridiculous.

Hope everyone has a great week.

We will miss posting and reading all of your wonderfully amazing comments.

Hopefully we will get some photoshopping done and these features underway to keep ourselves and you guys entertained through the long offseason.
