So Much News For A Tuesday

- Darren Dreger thinks the Penguins would be wise to trade Sergei Gonchar's negotiating rights before July 1st.  We can't even begin to think about life without Sarge, so scary.

- The Florida Panthers dealt Nathan Horton and Gregory Campbell to the Boston Bruins for Dennis Wideman and two picks.

- Scott Niedermayer finally retires.  This time officially.  It's like the boy who cried wolf, no one cares.

- The biggest news, according to Evgeniya, was the signing of Matt Cooke to a three year deal.  We breathed a sigh of relief just in case she took us all hostage on July 1st.

- The Canucks want first dibs on Andrew Ladd just in case the Blackhawks can't keep him.

- Evgeni Nabokov is a free agent already because the Sharks think that a new goaltender will get them past the Conference Finals.

- The Habs signed Tomas Plekanec to a six year deal worth about 30 million.  Hope he's happy.

- In Oilers land, Tom Renney is now the coach of the team and Pat Quinn was put in the Oilers front office.  We're shocked that this is news that isn't about the draft.

- Most Sens fans want a Spezza trade but James Cybulski warns them that their team could possibly be worse if he isn't their top center.
