Miko Koivu had three assists and Niklas Hagman had two goals.

But the most important goal was the one scored by Jarkko Ruutu. It was his first point in the Olympics. Ever. Congrats, sir.
Sergei Kostitsyn had the only Belarus goal.

Sweden vs Germany - 2-0
Henrik Lundqvist earned his first Olympic shutout.

It was as close to a domination that the Germans would allow. And when the Swedes broke down, Lundqvist was there to stop everyone.
Goals were scored by Loui Eriksson and Mattias Ohlund.

As usual. Not surprised.

Czech Republic vs Slovakia - 3-1

Marian Gaborik did play.
And the announcers were looking for any sign of injury from him, like labored breathing and unwillingness to hit. Um, have they seen Marian Gaborik play before?
And Jaromir Jagr stole the show with one goal and one assist.

Every article is about how he "turned back the clocks" with this game.
Patrik Elias and Tomas PLekanec scored for the Czechs. Gaborik for the Slovaks.

Great games so far! Even if I was hoping Germany would upset Sweden. Something about those super yellow uniforms just annoys me.
So happy to see Jagr with a mullett, because really that is what this fanfair has been all about!
