Fallout

We never would have guessed that Patrick Kane made so many girls either physically ill or angry. It still shocks us because we love him and any chance to party with the Hurrikane we would jump on it.

But that's just us and we may have low drinking-buddy standards.

Before the game, you knew that NBC and the NHL would be salivating over the chance to see Ovechkin and Crosby play in Washington. They basically forced the game to go on anyway, pushing for it to be played despite the conditions.

Well, they didn't disappoint. There were times when we felt the need to mute the television because of all the praising and drooling over Crosby and Ovechkin.

It was unneccessary at times. It's like, we get that they're both great players, we understand that Ovechkin's "energetic, electric and passionate", we get that Crosby was a "one-trick pony" until this season. Get over it already.

The games are always exciting and fun to watch and there's always jawing and aggressive plays going on. It's a rivalry. Between two teams. But the national network seems to forget that.

Whatever.

Here are some articles after the game today...

Preview of the Olympics?

Travel wasn't the reason that the Pens lost.

Brooks Orpik called Alex Semin "a baby". And Bruce Boudreau says the word 'tit'. Awesome.

The Pens blew a 3-goal lead. Blame Chris Kunitz.

Don't get me wrong, I'd have no problem hanging out and partying with Kaner, I just don't want to wake up next to him.

Go Brooks! Smack that diving, whining baby down! And while you're at it give Ovie a bitch slap for that over-the-top "I've been mortally wounded" performance he gave.

The NBC coverage of the Pens/Caps game could've been made into a few fun drinking games. How many times Crosby is shown during stopage of play, how many times an Ovie highlight reel is shown... the possibilities are endless! The end result of these games would probably lead to blacking out by the 2nd period.

We never thought of that. Would have definitely made the time go faster, haha. Maybe we should make one up for THJ readers? haha

Please do! Puck Daddy had a great one for the Wings/Pens game. I especially liked the "Drink twice for a Babcock death-stare"

I agree with Cat. There is a difference between partying with Kaner and having a one night stand with him. Partying with him could be fun, he seems like he'd have boundless amounts of energy and cheesy jokes.

Waking up next to him, well shit, that just seems wrong.
