Goonies Never Say Die.....Game Sixty-Nine: Penguins At Blue Jackets

LeTude came up with the title while listening to the game at work on Thursday night. And we thought that it was genius because of what Bobby said about the Penguins never giving up.

We usually don't read other blogs before doing a recap of a game. But something told us to read the Pensblog. And we were absolutely stunned.

They had a photoshop of the Penguins heads on the Goonies bodies from the movie cover. Whatever. We still are using the title because we don't steal things from other blogs. If we're funny or not, at least we're original.

Anyway,

The game was one of those that we were ambivalent about. The Penguins went on a pretty awesome point tear and we were just happy that they had been winning so insanely lately that a loss was expected.

At least we got a point.

But the Blue Jackets wouldn't even have been in the lead if it wasn't for the play of Steve Mason. He was lights out the entire game.

Oh, wait...he let in three in like ten seconds. Joke. (We kid, we kid.)

Henrik was the only one of us that watched the game but she was no help with the recap because she only watches Sidney Crosby.

We were shocked to see so many Penguins fans in the arena but it was still awesome. They were almost louder than the cannon that the Jackets shoot off when they score. It was funny to hear them when Max 'Clutch' Talbot scored to tie the game up.

Fleury was insane in OT but that's to be expected. And everyone's talking about the save he made in the third period before time expired. It was sick.

Blah, that's all we have to say because we're lazy.
