We realize that the last recap sounded a little bitter and tired. That's what happens when you recap a game after you've just lived through it.

Not only did Jordan Staal fight last night.....
but Jonathan Toews dropped the freakin' gloves.
We know it was Martin Hanzal and that they didn't even get punches in but that's not what counts.
What counts is that he cared enough to actually drop the gloves and make a statement to his team. He didn't like the hit that Hanzal had on Patrick Kane and decided to atone for it.
We like that. It isn't if he won or not that counts, it's the fact that he dropped the gloves for a reason.
