We found proof of that during the Edmonton Oilers -Philadelphia Flyers game this afternoon.
Hemsky has sick, sick hands. Marty Biron looked like a pee-wee goaltender.
Then he does it again. Two highlight reel goals in one game....that's too much.
The sexy pick for "highlight reel goal of the night" is probably Ilya Kovalchuk's goal.
Not for us.
We're sticking with Hemsky's first two of the year as the two best goals of the night.

The Atlanta Thrashers - Florida Panthers game was a little crazy. Both teams were making mistakes and giving the other team odd-man-rushes and taking stupid penalities.
Olesz went all Mark-Eaton on the puck in the crease.
Bob Errey would have been proud of Rostislav Olesz and his back-checking. He skated straight down the middle of the ice, made a bee-line to the net.

We've never seen someone work harder to try for an empty-netter than Ilya Kovalchuk.
And he has like five goals, unlike Jordan Staal who had none until last night.

Doting on the Thrashers is just cruel.
I watched that game live, Kovy's body positioning on White's empty netter should have earned a helper. He could've tapped it at the end, too. Unselfish, as always. Criminal not to post his goal.......criminal. You don't get any sexier than that. Stupid penalties are Reasoner's fault (well, yesterday anyway). All he does is kill penalties so it's embarrassing seeing him play 15+ min a game...he should be playing 12 max. And I had to listen to some loud-mouthed genius yelling, "Yeah! Go Marty, you're The Reason!", all f-ing night like that even made sense.
You'll get tired of defending Goligoski soon enough. Too soft on the blue when he's quarterbacking........getting old fast. I like that he's such a heady skater, but he needs to go with his gut and feel more often.
Hey, we like to make fun of everyone. We really don't single out unless you're a Flyers fan and then we just hate you.
Stupid penalities were taken by both teams, it happens. Again, we weren't picking on just the Thrashers.
And the comment about Goligoski...he's a rookie and if you watched the game then you would have noticed what we did and how Bob & Paul were really ragging on him unnecessarily.
Whatev, we don't take ourselves seriosuly and what we say is usually just stupid. Take the blog for what it is, just our opinions.
