The Philadelphia Flyers lost to their AHL affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms in the old Spectrum. How quaint.

Whoa.

Nice one, Philly. Even their kids are better than them, how sad.

Rookies are the toast of the NHL nowadays and most teams are keeping their 2008 draft picks to start the season.

Luke Schenn sold his soul to the Toronto Maple Leafs. We can't wait to boo him when the Leaves visit the Mellon.

Josh Bailey is staying with the New York Islanders with an entry contract. Another rookie for us to make fun of from the Island.

And last but not least (in our hearts) Alex Pietrangelo is staying in St. Louis for now. Henrik is beyond excited about this.

Los Angeles Kings have finally, finally signed their 2007/2008 Best Defensive Forward, Patrick O'Sullivan.

We couldn't handle anymore intrigue about this. Just kidding.

At least ten players have been put on waivers. If we cared, we would list them all but we really don't. We were just surprised about the amount of them, it's like a fire-sale before the season begins.

The Canucks were doing the most fire-saleing. And we can't even blame Brian Burke which sucks.

One of Noodles's favorite players, Gilbert Brule, was sent to the minors by the Edmonton Oilers.

We would be saddened by this news but we are hoping that he will get a call-up and stick in the NHL finally.

Edmonton seems like a better environment than Columbus. At least we know that they know what they're doing. Sometimes.

Man, we love Ottawa and their f-ed up PR people. It's like a sieve there. Maybe they should watch who's letting the secrets out of Ottawa's dressing room.

The Tampa Bay Lightning made more trades.

Tampa traded Shane O'Brien and Michel Ouellet to Vancouver for Lukas Krajicek and Juraj Simek.

Ooookay. Let us process that.....

So that means that a potential blue line pairing of Kevin Bieksa and Shane O'Brien. Wow, just wow. Nobody would want to get near Luongo if those two jumped off the bench. We know we wouldn't.
