Noodles went out and did the unthinkable. She caved in and bought the new Sidney Crosby DVD. Not because she loves Sid (which we think she secretly does) but because she wanted the special Game 5 DVD that came with it at Dick's.
It was quite possibly the best $20 we have ever spent in our lives. And we didn't even touch Game 5 or the entire showing of the Winter Classic. Wow.
Our favorite part was when a few of the players talked about how Sidney Crosby had a sense of humor. Count us shocked, seriously. We didn't think he knew how to take a joke much less make one. But apparently, he does.
But we think that the players were given a script when forced to talk about Sidney Crosby. We bet that Gary Bettman was behind the cameras mouthing the words, "Sid-ney is the fun-nie-st play-er on the team."
What seriously makes our day is this video. Someone had the idea to upload it to Youtube and we couldn't be happier.
Wow, just wow.
We can't wait to watch the Winter Classic and Game 5 on DVD even though all Noodles talks about is Ryan Whitney's Game 5 50+ minute performance when Gonchar was hurt. But we love Petr calling his shot, one of the best moments from last season.

Everyone's been blogging and chirping about the new "Is This The Year?" commercials. And most people liked them. We are definitely in that category because we love them, especially the Dion Phaneuf one.
He's a better actor than Elisha Cuthbert.
And the Chara one is amazing. We love the end about Chara with a play off beard. We didn't even know that he grew one when he was with Ottawa.
The only commercial we aren't so fond of is the Crosby one. The picture that he stepped out of brings up a lot of bad memories for us as fans and we could only imagine how he felt.
"I never want to be in this photograph again." That should be our slogan for the season.

Right now, we're in love with the Chicago Blackhawks marketing department.
Their commercials are the shiznit. Seriously.
Oh, and Patrick Kane is bringin' the mullet back. Figures it would be an American.
