We watch the NHL Network like addicts.

And we are absolutely sick of the Top Moments commercials they place between games and shows on the network.

We know that Gretzky had the best year of his life sometime before we were even zygotes and we know that Teemu Selanne had the rookie season kids dream about.



Let us reiterate....We know.

But the one commercial that makes us wish we could reach into the television and rip it to shreds is the Iron Gym infomercial.



We cannot stand that one. And we have to see it over and over and over again during TV timeouts. It's seriously making us wish we could buy the network and banish those commercials FOREVER.

Anyway, it's all good. Because one of our favorite commercials is also shown on NHL Network.

With tomorrow being the opening of the regular season, the Penguins made final roster changes.

Janne Pesonen was sent to the AHL. And Bill Thomas is staying with the Penguins.

Brooks Orpik and Evgeni Malkin were named rotating Alternate Captains. Actually, only Malkin's is rotating so that everyone can be a leader.

Orpik's A is only there until Gonchar comes back from shoulder surgery. Like we always say...so dependable, so Brooks Orpik.

Your Mom, a.k.a. we have no proof, told us that Kris Beech never showed up to WBS and that the team can't find him. Apparently, he doesn't want to be in the minors.
