One-A-Day: Atlanta Thrashers

Atlanta Thrashers

The ATL. Does anyone even care about the Thrashers? The only time we did was when Mark Recchi went there and burned the Penguins on his ‘bread and butter’ move.

Dick

Actually, we lied. We usually care about the Thrashers because we love when they can somehow win against the teams that we truly do not care for. And now that they drafted Zach Bogosian…mmm, the Thrashers are a little more relevant now.

At least to us

After six games last season, Bob Hartley was fired. Somehow, we always confused Glen Hanlon with Bob Hartley and there is no reason why. We liked Bob Hartley and were kinda sad that he was fired that quickly.

That and the fact we loved seeing the Thrashers fail that bad in like the first six games. We also love seeing the whole Southeast division fail, but that is for another post.

Is that wrong?

We wonder if the Thrashers will ever make the Play Offs again. Who is their leader now anyway? Ilya Kovalchuk? He totally missed Marian Hossa, who makes a habit of burning bridges, and will probably even more in 08/09.

Do we feel bad about that? No. Cause we all know that there will be a game when the Thrashers grab the Penguins by the ovaries and just squash the life outta them. We can’t wait.

We say a one but there is just something about the Thrashers. It could be that picture we accidentally saw on Google once, with Kovalchuk like all oiled up and naked in a leather skirt. Oh, we are kinda getting sick just thinking about it. That’s why they’re a one despite the existence of Bogosian and Lehtonen.
